The large tensile strength and the low resistance to cutting make GRP rods  the ideal product whenever the concrete reinforcement must be easily  demolished.

The most typical application is the so called “ soft-eye ”.

When the TBM, while advancing, must cross stations or ventilation wells,  reinforcement of piles or diaphragms with GRP makes it possible complete automation for the destruction of the same, with large savings in time  and maximum safety of the operators.

Even for the production of prefabricated blocks, utilization of GRP makes  very easy the preparation of by-pass holes or standby windows.

Also, for the “ empty “ zones where TMB must go through it is possible to reinforce the bottom sections with GRP bars.
