Composites are often used to carry additional accessories and components needed to security in the tunnel.

For railway tunnels ATP developed several products according to the  prescription of the european document C(2007) 6450 concerning the technical specification of interoperability relating to ‘safety in railway tunnels’ in the trans-European conventional and high-speed rail system.
